Alfred Burgos, EA started BURGOS INCOME TAX in 1991. He completed a total of 40 income tax returns that first year. Alfred also started a volunteer tax site for the IRS to assist low income taxpayers in 1991. Alfred's volunteer site ran for 7 years at PRYD, a community center in the North East side of Rochester N.Y.

In 1998 with a client base of 400 Alfred decided to move out of his home based office and leased a commercial storefront office at 1765 N.Clinton Avenue. Alfred obtained his Enrolled Agent licence (federal licence issued by the IRS to those who pass a rigorous two day income tax exam). The tax business client base doubled it's first year at the new location and has been growing every year since then.

In 2002 Alfred expanded Burgos Income Tax into the city of Rochester opening his second office, at 266 Bay Street across the street from Rivera's Market, one of the city's most popular Spanish-American grocery stores. This seasonal office served over 300 clients during it's first tax season.

During the Summer of 2003 Alfred expanded main headquarters of Burgos Income Tax, adding an additional 1300 square feet to the North Clinton Avenue office. The extra area was needed to accommodate the growing educational, training and business services.

In 2005 Alfred added a third office at 1042 Norton St. in the city of Rochester NY.

For 2008, two more offices were opened. The fourth office opened at 3 Lyell Avenue next to the Flat Iron Cafe at the corner of Lake Ave. A new Real Estate service has also been added.
